A vegan wedding
at fforest
Food is an important part of any wedding and getting the menu right for your wedding is a priority. We work with you to create a menu that reflects your ethics and beliefs - moral, environmental and health-related - and a menu full of colour, freshness and delicious flavour combinations that will delight your vegan family and friends and astound your non-vegan guests with just how good vegan food can be.

fforest food
Food is a big part of what we do and we strive to make the very best we can. We grow a lot of our own vegetables and have great food resources available to us locally. We care about the provenance of our ingredients and are conscious of food miles. The flavours, textures and colours are assembled to celebrate the abundance of local, seasonal flavours. We cook for our guests pretty much year-round and nothing is bought in pre-prepared.
We all know attitutudes towards food are changing. Many of our fforest staff are vegetarian, some are vegan, and over the past 10 years our cooks have prepared many thousands of wedding meals with passion, precision and dedication, adapting to meet changes in dietary requirements.
Where will our wedding be?
You can have your wedding ceremony in a choice of dramatic locations at fforest, indoors or out. There are a number of atmospheric spots around the farm licensed for civil wedding ceremonies.
The marriage registration can take place in:
The Bwthyn (our tiny stone pub), Ty fforest (the farmhouse), the Garden Pavillion, Lodge, Lodge barn or Cedar barn.
What will our memories look like?
Photographers love coming to fforest. Our great light and natural backdrops give a range of dreamy locations for the special couple and spontaneous moments for family and friends.
WHat will our guests eat?
Your guests arrive to wood-fired pizza, enjoy a simple healthy communal breakfast on the morning of the ceremony, and for the main event, one traditional and one casual festival-style meal, or more formal feasting at long tables. We grow our own vegetables, brew our own beer. Our specialities are local and seasonal, wood-smoked and barbecued dishes, pizzas and bread from our stone bake oven.
Your menu can be entirely vegan or feature vegan elements. We will work with you to blend three key ingredients: people, produce and place and make them all sing and shine.
WHat will our guests drink?
Like our food, we love the best: independent, natural and preferably local.
We have beers brewed, gins distilled and wines (including natural and bio-dynamic) selected exclusively for us from our favourite producers. If there’s something you want us to stock we’ll try our best. If there’s something you want to bring, we charge a fair corkage.
Where will our guests stay?
fforest has a range of accommodation available: the luxury of the Georgian farmhouse and split-level crog lofts; beautifully furnished, romantic geodesic domes, some with Japanese outdoor cast concrete soaking tubs; cosy and comfortable bespoke wooden shacs with terraces and unrivalled views.
What else?
We think of ourselves as an outdoor hotel with woodland corridors. Our indoor spaces feature natural materials. We use eco cleaning products, not tested on animals. Everything is designed to embrace the outdoors and have minimal environmental impact but be warm, atmospheric & comfortable. No lift, no tv, no trouser press.
